Friday Short Story Fun

Hello all!

As you have probably noticed (especially if you are friends with me on Facebook) that I have started posting "Friday Short Stories." For those of you not currently on Facebook, here are the rules for the game:

- Give me a topic, and a tone, and I will write you a short story! Something like: "a drama about what my dog does when I leave", or "a comedy about my bowl of soup" - The topic will determine the length with a max of 2000 words. - The story for the week will be chosen Saturday morning at random from the comments here. And finished before the following Friday. - Only one request per person - I will post your story to my blog/prose page and credit you (or not, your choice) as the requestor of the story. - If you like the story, share it with your friends! Maybe they will want one the next week.

Its is as simple as that! For you aspiring writers out there, I highly suggest this practice to build good writing habits. Not only does it help you write on tight deadlines, but it also will force you to take on new voices, genre, and topics you would never think to write yourself. Not to mention you might just earn some new clients!
